Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar, who have been among the most loved couples in the telly world, are making headlines for the arrival of their little bundle of joy. The Sasural Simar Ka couple has been blessed with a baby boy and they are over the moon about this new addition to their lives.

Needless to say, the new parents have been inundated with best wishes from fans and friends from across the world. But did you know that Shoaib wanted to have a baby girl? Yes! You read it right. This revelation was made by his Ajooni co-star Simran Khanna during her recent conversation with Telly Masala.

To note, Simran is seen playing the role of Shoaib's sister in law in Ajooni and they share a great equation both and off the screen. Talking to Telly Masala, Simran stated, "Maine to use bola that ki tujhe beta hoga but he said no, mujhe girl hogi. I said nahi you will have a boy. Phir maine use likhe 'Congratulations Papa'. I told him I am going to call you papa now".

For the uninitiated, Shoaib and Dipika's baby was born just a day after the Ajooni actor's birthday. It was a premature delivery and now, Shoaib has shared an update about his newborn son's health. Shoaib asserted that since it was a premature delivery, the baby is currently in the incubator. He also everyone to pray for his baby's good health.

To note, Shoaib and Dipika, who tied the knot in February 2018, had announced the pregnancy in November last year with an adorable post. Talking about embracing motherhood, the Sasural Simar Ka actress had earlier stated, "It's a very beautiful phase of life. There was excitement as well as we were scared. We didn't want to hide from anyone and so we thought of taking a break from all our vlogs. The first three months are very delicate and crucial and hence we took precautions".
