EXCL! Parineeta Borthakur On World Bollywood Day: Indian Cinema Brought A Good Change In Women's Life

As 24 September is celebrated as 'World Bollywood Day', Actress Parineeta Borthakur, who currently plays the role of Mandira Kashyap in TV show, 'Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya Shiv Shakti' credits bollywood movies to bring positive impact for women in India.

The day marks the achievement of Bollywood on the global cinematic landscape, captivating audiences with its unique storytelling, mesmerizing music, and dazzling dance sequences.

She said : I think Bollywood (Indian Film Industry) has brought a good change in women's life in the society. We have many movies where they have shown how women are treated in real life and how important it is, for people to understand that it is very important to respect them, be she is your family member or any other women.

Parineeta, known for featuring in shows like 'Bepannah', 'Gupta Brothers', 'Swaragini' among others revealed how films played important in her life.

She continued, "Movies does play an important role in my life too. I have been super influenced by movies like Dor, Chak De, or Astitwa. Obviously these are stories and we cannot connect everything with them but at the same time the stories are also somewhere and somehow taken from your real life experience. So, the Indian films have, I think achieved to a great extend, in improving women's life in the society."

She added, "I have personal met a lot of females from small places, where they were not allowed to go out of the house except for school or college but their brothers were allowed to go out anytime. Now things are changing, I won't say everywhere but yes, Indian film industry tried to impact have modified female's life in our society to a great extent."

She has acted in movies like 'Chalo Dilli', 'Force', 'Saas Bahu Aur Sensex' among others.
