The festival of Gudi Padwa is being celebrated today by Hindus worldwide. Known by different names such as Ugadi and Cheti Chand, the festival is observed on the first day of the Chaitra month, and its name varies by state. It signifies the start of the Hindu New Year and is linked with new beginnings filled with happiness and prosperity.
As Gudi Padwa especially holds great significance in Maharashtra, many renowned celebrities also wait for this festival every year and Paras Kalnawat is one of them. The TV star, who recently entered ZEE TV's Kundali Bhagya after the generation leap gets excited about the festival every year.
PARAS KALNAWAT EXCITED FOR GUDI PADWA
On the special occasion, the actor went down memory lane and exclusively told Filmibeat how he celebrates Gudi Padwa every year.
Paras Kalnawat, who essays the role of Preeta's (Shraddha Arya) son Rajveer Luthra in Kundali Bhagya said, "I'm always excited for Gudi Padwa. In Maharashtra, it is a very important festival as it is the New Year for us, which symbolizes new beginnings. It's a festival of l spreading love, happiness, and hope with a fresh start."
He added, "Every year I wait to eat Puran Poli on this day, and I can eat them all day, every day. I feel there is something special about eating the dish on the occasion, it just tastes better somehow. I really wish for everyone's health and prosperity."
KUNDALI BHAGYA GENERATION LEAP
The spin-off to Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia's Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya has been winning hearts ever since it premiered on ZEE TV in 2017. After almost six years, the makers have now introduced the new generation and Paras is a part of it.
While Paras is already getting a positive response for his performance, Sana Sayyad and Baseer Ali are also playing the main roles with him in the show post leap.
