Kundali Bhagya Update: Paras Kalnawat, who entered showbiz with Star Plus' Meri Durga in 2017, has come a long way in his career. After becoming a household name with Anupamaa, the actor is finally back on the small screen to entertain his fans with ZEE TV's Kundali Bhagya starring Shraddha Arya in the lead role.
After a successful run of around six years, the makers of Kundali Bhagya recently introduced a generation leap post which Paras entered as Rajveen Luthra, the ideal son of Preeta (Shraddha Arya). Along with him, Sana Sayyad and Baseer Ali also marked their entries as the new faces of the long-running show.
So far, only a few post-leap episodes have been aired and the new generation is already getting a positive response. In an exclusive chat with Filmibeat, Paras Kalnawat talked about his first reaction after getting locked for Kundali Bhagya, PreeRan fans who were initially not too happy with the leap, and the pressure of joining a long-running show.
PARAS KALNAWAT SHARES FIRST REACTION AFTER BAGGING KUNDALI BHAGYA
Elated with the response to his character, Paras shared his first reaction with us and said, "When I got to know about being locked in Kundali Bhagya by Ekta Kapoor, I got really very happy about it because I was waiting for a show as strong as Kundali Bhagya. I was double-minded about whether I should be doing another TV show right after my reality show or if I should wait for something that may amaze me or that may be different from what I'd done earlier. But when I got an opportunity to work with Ekta mam for this wonderful show which I've been watching since a while now and everybody in my family watches. Then, there were no second thoughts about it. Right after I got a call regarding the show, I became very excited about it and wanted to do this show. I showed interest. This is like a great opportunity for me to get back to TV because this is one of the biggest shows on TV right now and ZEE TV's number-one show. So, really glad and really happy that Ekta mam and the entire team gave me this wonderful opportunity."
PARAS KALNAWAT ON PRESSURE OF JOINING A LONG-RUNNING SHOW
Shraddha Arya has been the show's face since the beginning and PreeRan fans were initially skeptical about the generation leap. On being asked if he's feeling any pressure on joining a popular and long-running show, Paras confidently replied that the team is working very hard and manifesting the best.
He stated, "Yes, I've joined a very popular show which has been running for a while now and fans weren't very happy about the leap news initially but, honestly, there's no pressure on me or any of my co-actors right now because we're just giving our best. We believe that there should always be freshness in the show when you feel that the show has been running for a while. So, there should be some freshness added to the show. So, this is what the makers did, this is what the creatives did. They've just added some freshness, some new faces, and a new story to this wonderful show. We're just hoping that it goes really well because there are a few episodes out already after the leap and the response is amazing. People are loving the scenes. The fans who were not very happy about the leap, they've accepted it and they've accepted me as Rajveer. I've been receiving great messages, great responses from all of them, from all the fan pages created for the show. So, there's already a lot of buzz for the post-leap story. So, I'm really happy about it and we're just giving out the best. Rest, we leave upon the audience and honestly, we're just manifesting the best."
