Actress Priyanka Shuklaa, who is currently winning accolades for her performance in the Dangal TV show Mann Sundar, talks about the safety of dogs and demands for stricter laws against animal cruelty.

Recently, she took to Instagram and wrote,"It's surprising to see people tagging petaindia and what not if one person is bitten by dogs! While same people become deaf and dumb when 100s of dogs are killed/raped/tortured on daily basis. Coz these narcissist mofos things planets belongs to only "Humans".

Sharing her views about the same, Priyanka exclusively told Filmibeat, "I can't even understand how some people have the guts to conduct such cruel acts against animals. We are so concerned about every human being, which is a good thing for me, but we shouldn't forget that every day hundreds of dogs are killed and tortured."

She added, "Why don't people raise their voices against this serious matter? Aren't they living beings like us?We should be the protectors of voiceless beings around us, but what many people do is torture or kill them. I think our country should have stricter laws against animal cruelty. People should understand the importance of every being on earth, then only we can move towards being a civilised planet. And the Bombay High Court said the right thing is that dogs need a sufficient amount of care and food."

On the professional front, Priyanka has been a part of various TV shows, including Jodha Akbar, Sankat Mochan Hanuman, Pyaar ke papad and Bhaag Bakool Bhaag. She is also known for her roles in the Tamil movie Thagadu and the Telugu movie Pedavi Datani Matokatundhi.

The tinsel town diva also featured in the Kannada TV show Hara Hara Mahadeva. Priyanka was also seen in a key role in the Hindi movie Bhanwarey and the web show Chhoriyan.
