Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been entertaining fans since 2009 and is still fetching great numbers for the channel. The family drama airs on Star Plus and features Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod as protagonists Abhimanyu and Akshara respectively.

While fans loved seeing them together onscreen, the makers introduced a 5-year leap last month after which the lead couple was shown separated. After the leap, actor Jay Soni entered Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as the new guy in Akshara's life.

JAY SONI HAPPY WITH RESPONSE TO HIS YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI ROLE

He's playing the pivotal role of Akshara's husband Abhinav after the leap. Best known for playing the lead roles in popular shows like Sasural Genda Phool and Sanskaar - Dharohar Apnon Ki, the actor has been loving the response to his character so far.

Abhinav is shown as an innocent and soft-hearted man who respects Akshara a lot and even loves her son Abhir as his own. He's enjoying all the attention coming his way ever since he joined the cast of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Besides proving his mettle as an actor, Jay also featured in popular dance reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 and Nach Baliye 7. As Bigg Boss is India's biggest reality show, the actor exclusively told Filmibeat if he'll ever participate in Salman Khan's controversial reality show.

IS JAY SONI INTERESTED IN BIGG BOSS?

Talking about it, Jay Soni told us, "Bigg Boss, I don't know as a contestant, matlab bolte hai na never say never. But, I don't think I will ever do Bigg Boss."

However, he's ready to be a part of Rohit Shetty's Khatron Ke Khiladi. The actor stated, "I would love to do Khatron Ke Khiladi and later, let's see if I feel, you know ki kuch achha hai, I'll do it. I'm very choosy and moody actually."

While Jay is currently busy with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, we would love to see him as a contestant in both Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi.
