SuMaan Update: Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Fahmaan Khan are among the most loved onscreen couples on TV ever since they romanced each other in Gul Khan's hit Star Plus show Imlie.

Both of them bid adieu to the popular show last year after the makers decided to introduce a generation leap leaving SuMaan fans heartbroken. After Imlie, the duo was seen together briefly in Bigg Boss 16 where Fahmaan entered as a guest for a few days.

After Bigg Boss 16, Fahmaan and Sumbul were supposed to feature in the music video of the actor's friend Tabish. However, when things didn't work out, Hiba Nawab was signed to feature in the song.

FAHMAAN ON SUMAAN FANS NOT HAPPY WITH HIBA NAWAB'S CASTING

However, SuMaan fans aren't happy with the development. In a recent interview, Fahmaan opened up about the disappointment of people who wish to see him with Sumbul onscreen.

While interacting with a YouTube channel named MeStarlet, Fahmaan said, "Dekho yaar, aisa nahi hai ki aapko disappoint karna chahte hai hum. Par, point being ki, agar aap mujhe sirf ek insaan ke saath dekhte rahoge toh baaki ke log kya karenge, ya hum baaki ke logon ke saath kya karenge. If you want me to be Fahmaan all the time then how will I play different characters that I'm playing? Because if I have to play different characters, I'll have to be part of different projects, I'll have to be opposite other people. If you really love the presence of someone being there, I think you should accept and enjoy the process of every character that I play. Sumbul aur mere saath aapne jitna dekha hai, woh bohot pyaara raha hai, and Inshahallah, in the future alo, we'll work together. I'm not saying no. But, right now, I think it's a space for both of us to explore other people to be working with. Because we need you to accept us in all forms."

FAHMAAN COMPARES HIS PAIRING WITH SUMBUL TO KAHOL-SRK

He added, "Agar Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan work so well, but agar sirf Kajol aur SRK hi kaam karte toh shayad aap log itna enjoy nahi karte jab wo wapas aate hai ek doosre ke saath. And you know, it makes more sense when you give that break and then come back again with a bang. So, while Kajol and SRK aren't working together, it doesn't mean that either of them are not working with anybody else, right? We both are individuals and can work with other people. Eventually, come back and we do come back with a bang. So ya, we'll do that."

However, the great news is that Sumbul and Fahmaan are going to be seen together in Colors TV's newly-launched show Entertainment Ki Raat. The duo recently shot for the episode in which they'll be seen performing fun tasks together.
