Talking about the same, the talented actress stated, "Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the biggest festivals in Maharashtra. Growing up here, I have witnessed it being celebrated with full joy and enthusiasm in every house. It's our family ritual that we welcome Bappa home every year and what I absolutely love about this festival is how Maharashtra just lights up during Ganesh Chaturthi. We see so many colours and beautiful idols in every nook and corner of the city, which just illuminates everyone's mood. I wish everyone a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi."

SIGNIFICANCE OF GANESH CHATURTHI

For those who are unaware, this sacred festival commemorates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the deity symbolizing good fortune, wisdom, and prosperity. The 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival is set to conclude on September 28. Ganesh Chaturthi signifies a day of renewal, symbolizing the deity's rebirth and representing new beginnings.

According to legend, Goddess Parvati crafted an idol of a child from sandalwood paste and imbued it with divine powers. To her astonishment, a young boy emerged from the sculpture, addressing her as his mother. Goddess Parvati was overjoyed to have a son who, she believed, would forever be devoted to her.

Here's wishing everyone a happy Ganesha Chaturthi.
