The talented actress became a household name after she essayed the role of a journalist in the hit sitcom. While she is missing from TMKOC, her ardent fans are on cloud nine as she has made a grand comeback to the small screen with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
Adding another feather to her cap, Priya Ahuja returned to TV with an exciting role in Star Plus' popular drama. The actress, who is also a successful social media influencer and content creator, interacted with Filmibeat and spilled the beans on her character.
Priya expressed her excitement on doing a daily soap after four long years, stating that she is looking forward to the audience's reaction.
On Her Character
Sources close to the show had earlier told Filmibeat that Priya's entry will have a connection with Sai and now, the actress has shared exciting details with us.
"I am playing Harshad Arora's (Dr. Satya)'s sister in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. I will be seen in the role of a lavani dancer. Interestingly, the entire family has lavani dancers. They have their own history and now, they are into another business. It is a happy-go-lucky family and Harshad's character loves all the members. My character is going to make a lot of difference in the show," Priya Ahuja exclusively told Filmibeat.
First Daily Soap In Four Years
The TMKOC star stated, "After Ardaas' birth, I am coming back to the world of daily soaps. I am very excited as I will be seen in a different avatar. After four years, I will be seen in a daily soap and that too, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. I am grateful to God for this wonderful opportunity."
Excited For Comeback
Priya Ahuja, who welcomed her son in November 2019, said that she is thrilled to feature in the Star Plus drama.
"I am glad to be a part of Ghum. What else could I have asked for? GHKKPM is a Star network show. It is the number two show across all GECs and it trends every day on social media. My character is meaty and has multiple layers to it. I couldn't have wished for a better show or role than Ghum," she quipped.
Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin stars Ayesha Singh and Neil Bhatt in the respective roles of Sai and Virat. The romantic drama co-starring Aishwarya Sharma airs every day on Star Plus at 8pm. It has been dominating the slot since the past two years, garnering amazing TRPs for the channel.
