Star Plus' Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has been making the headlines these days for its leap. The show which started with Neil Bhatt, Aishwarya Sharma and Ayesha Singh in the lead, witnessed a 20 year leap and a change in the entire lead cast.

As of now, Shakti Arora, Bhavika Sharma and Sumit Singh are seen playing the lead. As the new cast has taken over the show, it has left the fans brimming with an opinion. Needless to say, Shakti is over the moon to take play the lead in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. In fact, the actor even revealed that not Neil Bhatt but he was the first choice to play the lead role of Virat in the show earlier. However, he had turned it down.

And now that Shakti is playing the lead, he opened up about the pressure of taking over the show midway. Talking to TV Times, the handsome hunk stated, "Pressure to definitely hota hi hai kyunki ye already 2nd-3rd number hai show. So the only way it can go is it can go up, it can't go down and we can't afford to let it go down. So wo ek huge responsibility hai humare shoulders pe ki hum audience ka dil jeete aur aur unchaiyon chuyein".

He even stated that he and Neil had started their career together and while they haven't been in touch, Shakti was all praises for the Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor. "I know he is a great actor, aur sabke dilon pe raaj ki hai usne ye show se. I feel uske liye ye show ek blessing tha," he added.

Furthermore, Shakti admitted how he regretted rejecting Ghum Hai Kiskey Pyaar Meiin initially. He said, "Virat ka character aaya tha to I was approached for the role aur main kisi karan nahi kar paya ye show and mujhe bahut dukh tha ki main nahi kar paya kyunki ye show hit ho gaya. Mujhe FOMO ho gaya. But usne jab ye show perform kia to I was very happy because he deserved this show. use uski life partner bhi mili isi show se so it was meant for him".

Meanwhile, Shakti is elated to get a chance to be a part of the show now. It will be interesting to see if Shakti will manage to meet the expectations set by Neil.
