Gudi Padwa 2023 EXCLUSIVE: Chashni's Rutuja Sawant Shares Plan For Festival, Reveals Mom's Special Surprise

Gudi Padwa 2023: Gudi Padwa is a special festival for every Marathi as it marks the Maharashtrian New Year. Be it the common man or the celebrities, every one is busy celebrating the day with utmost joy and fervour. Actress Rutuja Sawant is also enjoying the festivities with her loved ones. The Marathi mulgi went down memory lane as she spoke about the festival in an exclusive interaction with Filmibeat.

The TV diva revealed how she is going to celebrate the festival of Gudi Padwa 2023 with her family members. Rutuja, who is currently seen playing the character of Natasha Mehra in the Star Plus show Chashni, said, "I am always excited about Gudi Padwa as it marks the new year for Maharashtrians. It symbolises new beginnings, positivity and hope of overcoming the hardships that come into our lives."

Spilling the beans on her Gudi Padwa plans, she quipped, "This year, I will spend time with my family on Gudi Padwa because festivals are more meaningful when celebrated with family. I remember that when I was a kid, my mother used to make the most delicious and traditional meals on Gudi Padwa and everyone in our family used to eat them together."

She also opened up on her mother's special surprise with a smile on her face. "Even today, as soon as I woke up, my mother surprised me by making my favourite food- Shrikhand Puri. I must say that traditional food made by my mother made my Gudi Padwa more special," the actress said.

Extending wishes to everyone, Rutuja added, "I would like to give everyone greetings on the occasion of Gudi Padwa and wish them all a very happy new year. I hope that this new beginning brings joy and positivity into everyone's lives."

On the professional front, Rutuja has featured in hit shows like Mehndi Hai Rachnewali, Pishachini and Choti Sarrdaarni. She is currently winning hearts with her performance in Chashni, which airs everyday at 11pm on Star Plus.
