After two long months of speculation, Rajan Shahi spilled the beans on the new season of the show, indirectly confirming Harshad and Pranali's exit from the show. Fans are upset as they believed that AbhiRa's story had massive potential but somehow the makers didn't utilize them properly.

Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod will bid adieu to the show as Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami will take charge from them. The official Instagram handle of Star Plus has already released to promo to confirm the fourth generation leap of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

"The casting team and the creative team liked Samridhi's audition for Yeh Rishta. She suits the bill perfectly for the show and is not overexposed on television just like Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod, when they were roped in for YRKKH. Instead of dragging the storyline further, the makers thought of introducing a leap and hence, Pranali-Harshad will make an exit from the serial. Samridhi's acting chops and her innocence were big factors in bagging her the meaty role in a show like YRKKH" a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

According to the latest promo, Abhimanyu will die while Akshara will give birth to a baby girl named Abhira in jail. While Harshad Chopda has shot for his final episode, Pranali Rathod will be replaced by Preeti Amin as the older Akshara in YRKKH.

Amid the hullabaloo over his exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Harshad Chopda spilled the beans on his next project. Contrary to the rumours, he has not signed any show. The Bepannaah actor promised to entertain the audience with whatever project he is associated with in the near future.

The Tere Liye actor said that he would love to do quality work but if he is unable to do so, the fans should forgive him. When asked about his upcoming projects, he shared an interesting take.

"Kaha dekhenge vo pata nahi. Waqt batayega, jo karunga acha karunga. Agar nahi karunga to please bardhash kar lena. All I can say at the moment is bye," Harshad told India Forums.
