Himachal Pradesh has been devastated by relentless rain, resulting in flash floods and landslides, causing extensive damage to roads and infrastructure. As a result, numerous tourists find themselves stranded in the hill state.

TV actress Khyaati Keswani, who is best known for playing pivotal roles in several hit shows including Kumkum Bhagya and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, feels grateful that she reached her home safely from Himachal Pradesh right on time. In a recent interview, the actress reveals that she went on a holiday with her mother to Kasol and reveals that her intuition helped her cancelling plan to travel to Manali just a day before the sudden floods.

KHYAATI KESWANI ON HER TRIP TO HIMACHAL PRADESH

The actress, who returned to Mumbai on July 11, told ETimes, "My husband and my father were apprehensive about me travelling to Himachal Pradesh due to a recent landslide in Manali. However, I decided to proceed with my plans. I had originally planned to go solo but my mother joined me at the last minute. I was at Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara on July 7, the day before the bridge connecting the Gurudwara and Shiv Mandir was damaged due to the powerful flow of the Parvati River."

Shortly after she departed from Kasol towards Manali, rainfall began. Sensing a hint of intuition or homesickness, Khyaati reached out to the hotel staff in Manali to inquire about the weather, particularly in light of the recent landslide. They informed her that it was currently cloudy but not raining. Uncertain whether it was a stroke of divine intervention or just her instincts, she finally made the decision to turn the car around and return to Chandigarh, despite being just an hour away from Manali.

She added, "The next morning, I came across several videos of devastating floods that had affected the very places I had visited recently. To my shock, even the hotel in Manali where I was supposed to stay was submerged in water."
