Ali Merchant has been part of the TV industry for a long time now and has been entertaining the masses with his stellar performances. We have seen Ali in projects like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Lock Up, season 1, and Bandini, among other shows. A few days ago, he was grabbing headlines for his newly released music videos which grabbed a lot of appreciation from the audience. And as the 77th Independence Day of our nation is around the corner, the actor recently talked about his plans for this and also put forth her views on people considering the 15th of August a rest day.

Talking about his plans for Independence Day, Ali Says, "On this Independence Day, I have a mind to sit with my family to choose and watch movies or documentaries on patriotic themes and about the freedom fighters who fought for the nation's independence. Will surely be hosting a flag at my house by peacefully reciting our National Anthem 'Jana Gana Mana."

Talking about how he looks up to the 15th of August as many people consider it as a holiday, Ali tells, "I don't know why people don't look up to take even a small step for the betterment of society, I will surely give at least 2-3 hours on the day of Independence Day to do something for the needy people."

He also talked about the brave freedom fighter whom she looks up to, "I look up to sir Subhash Chandra Bose, whose dedication and commitment to India's Independence struggle, as well as his organisation and leading qualities of the Azad Hind Sena now known as the Indian National Army, are extremely crucial." He adds, "If made any sequel to the movie on Mangal Pandey, I would love to do it."

Ali concludes his talk by giving a message to all the readers: "Happy Independence Day to all, celebrate and dedicate this day in the name of our brave freedom fighters, but just don't forget to keep our flag safe and it should not be littered here and there on roads and streets on the 16th of August and if you find any please pick it up. Jai Hind."
