Indian Idol Controversy | Abhijeet Sawant Unhappy With Amit Sana’s Cheating Accusations: He Was Runner-Up…

Indian Idol Controversy: The 14th season of the Indian Idol, Sony TV's hugely popular singing reality show, is currently airing. However, Amit Sana, the runner-up of the inaugural season, has ignited controversy by leveling accusations against Indian Idol and singer Abhijeet Sawant, the first winner of the show.
One of Amit's claims is that his voting lines were allegedly blocked by the show's makers two days before the finale to ensure Abhijeet's victory. In response, Abhijeet has dismissed Amit's remarks, referring to him as 'naive.'
ABHIJEET SAWANT IRKED WITH AMIT SANA'S STATEMENT
During an interview with News 18 Showsha, Abhijeet stated that numerous factors contribute to a contestant's victory in a reality show. He argued that targeting Amit was impractical, emphasizing that Amit was not the sole contestant in the finale.
Reacting to the ongoing controversy, Abhijeet Sawant said, "He is very naive. I have been to many competitions. There are several reasons why you lose a competition. It is not just one thing. He should not forget that he was the runner-up. It wasn't like we both were the only talented boys in the show, there were several other talented people in that competition."

He added, "I feel, his people have conveyed such allegations to him and it can be sentimental also. It can be their own opinion also. The entire India was voting for us. How is it possible that one of us was getting votes and the other one wasn't? Indian Idol 1 was also being monitored by the international team. I remember they used to be there on sets all the time."
Nearly two decades since Indian Idol Season 1 aired on Sont TV, Amit also asserted that there was political influence contributing to Abhijeet's victory. In response, Abhijeet remarked, "I consider it unfair to delve into such issues at this point." The singer also expressed that there is little merit in discussing this matter after almost two decades since the show aired.
