Junooniyatt Update: There's a lot of buzz around Junooniyatt. This romantic musical drama that recently celebrated the completion of three successful months is produced by Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey's Dreamiyata Production. Rinku Ghosh, who plays the role of Maheep Mehta in the show, talks about it.

"It feels great to be associated with Junooniyatt as it is a different kind of a show, and not like any other that is presently running on Hindi GECs. I am playing the main antagonist Maheep Mehta. It is a larger-than-life character, full of grace, style and attitude. She is a strong-headed woman who will go to any length to protect her son. It is her Junoon to see her son Jordan become a Rockstar that makes her who she is," says the actor.

RINKU GHOSH ON SIMILARITIES WITH HER JUNOONIYATT CHARACTER

Rinku shares that it's Maheep's grace and the style that is similar to how she is in real life. "That's the reason why I am able to carry the character with ease on screen. Attitude is something I think I should incorporate a bit in my life," she adds.

This is the first time Rinku has collaborated with team Dreamiyata. "My experience is amazing as the production house is taking care of all our needs so well. It's a happy environment. The ensemble comprises a great cast and crew. I am enjoying my work here. In fact, in my two-decade-long career, this is also my first show that is set in Punjab and I love the place for its simplicity, caring and friendly nature of the people here. Above all the traffic discipline, good condition of roads and no honking are the best things about this place. Not to forget the yummy Punjabi food and lassi," Rinku smiles.

About the changes she has seen in the industry in the last few years, she adds, "The era of streaming has changed things for the better. With so many new channels and mediums to stream entertainment coming up, there is more work for everyone. Many artists are getting recognition and these mediums are giving artists space to showcase their real talent which in the past was overcast or overshadowed by a lot of issues."

"Junooniyatt (passion) is what helps us take our life ahead to reach goals and accomplish them. It is a must in everyone's life. My passion for classical dance (Bharat Natyam) and acting has got me to where I am today and I am still striving to be better each passing day to deliver a much better performance as possible. That's my Junooniyatt for acting," she ends.
