Kareena Kapoor Birthday: Barsatein Star Pankit Thakker Suggests Jab We Met Makers To Make Jab We Broke Up

Kareena Kapoor Khan is celebrating her birthday today (September 21). Actor Pankit Thakker who's entering Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon's TV show Barsatein, is not happy with the idea of her successful film Jab We Met which was originally released in 2007.

He said, "As an actor, I am seldom allowed to hold opinions that aren't well-rehearsed or scripted. But I am also a human with a crazy sense of humour, which is why I think the proposed Jab We Met 2 should be left where it belongs - in the past."

He continued, "Don't get me wrong, folks, I loved the movie as much as the next guy. But, call me crazy, I kind of liked the way things ended in the first one. Why ruin a perfectly good thing with a sequel that is often just a half-hearted attempt to relive past glories?"

According to the 'Dill Mill Gayee' actor, makers need to work on Kareena's real-life story. He said, "Instead, I propose we make a movie that shows the real-life drama that took place behind the scenes. How Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor broke up during the filming of 'Jab We Met', and how she fell head over heels for Saif Ali Khan on the sets of 'Tashan' in 2008."

He suggested a title too and added, "We can call it 'Jab We Broke Up'. It would be a movie for the ages. A timeless masterpiece that captures the raw emotion of two people falling out of love, set against the glitz and glamour of Bollywood. But, we shouldn't stop there, oh no. We should go all out and make this a RGV production. Ram Gopal Varma, the master of all things sinister and twisted. He would be the perfect director for this movie. He has a way of making even the most mundane things seem interesting, something that a story about failed love affairs sorely needs."
