SHOCKING! Karishma Tanna Reveals Her Father Never Wanted A Girl Child, Says ‘Jab Mai Pada Hui Thi..'

Karishma Tanna: Television actress Karishma Tanna is a familiar face in the entertainment industry. She debuted in Ekta Kapoor's popular TV serial, Kyunki Saad Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, at the very young age of 17 and soon became a household name.
Tanna then went on to act in several popular serials and shows and carved a niche for herself. The actor recently revealed that she belonged to a lower middle-class Gujarati family and added that her father never wanted a girl child.
KARISHMA TANNA ON HER FATHER WANTING A SON
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Karishna Tanna spoke about her parents not seeing her face after her birth because she was a girl. Adding that she knew about this later in life and decided to provide her parents with everything a son might have given them.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan in Hindi, Tanna said, "My mother had told me when I was old enough that actually when I was born, my dad wasn't happy. Because he wanted a son and there was family pressure, like typical Gujarati families."
The Sanju actress further added that her family thought a male child to be superior, and expressed, "My mom had two daughters. My granddad and grandmom used to give us second hand treatment. It made me strong, I will show them what a boy does can also be done by a girl."
Karishma then stated, "Jab mai pada hui thi, meri mummy ne ek hafte tak mera chehra nahi dekha tha. Mere papa ek mahine tak dekhne nahi aye hospital me kiuki dusri bhi ladki hi hui."
She said it broke her heart to know that her father never wanted a girl. Krishma said that, "It's not that my father didn't love me. It was because his second child was also a girl and family pressure was there, so he didn't come to see me. But, it broke him also from inside. Mujhe oh betiyan pasand hai par mai apni family ko kya kahunga
She then added, "Main ladka ban k dikhaungi and I did that."
Karishma has surely proved herself more than a son.
The actress will soon be seen in Hansal Mehta's upcoming web series Scoop in the role of a crime journalist. It is set to be released on June 2 on Netflix.
