Kavya show: Sumbul Touqeer is on a roll these days. After making waves inside the Bigg Boss 16 house, she is ready to create ripples on the small screen with a new show. Titled Kavya- Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon, the daily soap will mark her return to the fiction space after a year.

Before participating in Salman Khan's reality show, Sumbul Touqeer Khan was in Imlie. She became a household name after playing the titular role in the Star Plus drama. Her impressive performance and sizzling chemistry opposite Fahmaan Khan captured the attention of the viewers.

While the viewers never wanted their SuMaan to leave Imlie, the duo had to make an exit after Gul Khan introduced a generation leap. After their stint in the show ended, both took up different shows on Colors channel. Sumbul opted for Bigg Boss 16 while Fahmaan starred DharamPatnii.

Now all eyes are on Kavya as the show looks promising and stars Sumbul in a different avatar. The upcoming drama will focus on the story of an IAS officer, who wishes to bring a change in society. She is married to an IPS officer, who supports her. How she balances her career and married life forms the crux of the story.

Filmibeat had exclusively reported about Mishkat Varma playing the lead role in Kavya. "Mishkat, known for his work in shows like Aur Pyaar Hogya and Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, has signed the dotted lines for Kavya- Ek Jazba Ek Junoon. He perfectly fits the bill as we are confident that he will look amazing with Sumbul Touqeer. The screen test was enough to make us believe that we have a perfect jodi for the show," a source had exclusively told Filmibeat.

SUMBUL TOUQEER AND FAHMAAN KHAN'S 'PRODUCTION HOUSE' CONNECTION

Did you know Fahmaan Khan also worked with the production house of Kavya? Well, the Apna Time Bhi Aayega star was seen as Randeep in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. The show starred Shweta Tiwari and Varun Badola in lead roles and aired on Sony TV.

Guess what? DJ Creative Unit, which is producing Kavya, introduced the same show on Sony Entertainment Television. "Kavya is said to be taking the 10pm slot in the upcoming days on the GEC. Mere Dad Ki Dulhan also beamed at 10pm," a source told Filmibeat.
