Kavya First Week TRP: Sumbul Touqeer starrer Kavya-Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon has managed to win the hearts of the audience with its drama-packed episodes. Unlike other daily soaps that heavily feature kitchen politics, supernatural elements and love triangles, Sony TV's newest launch focuses on the journey of an IAS officer.

After winning hearts as Imlie in Star Plus' show, Sumbul Touqeer is back with yet another strong role. The Bigg Boss 16 star is playing a civil service aspirant, who wishes to serve the nation and help the needy through her work.

Be it the storyline or the impeccable performances of the lead artists, we have a winner in the form of Kavya. The show is different than the run-of-the-mill soaps where female leads are busy crying. Kavya is a fresh take on the journey of a female IAS aspirant, who has a past of her own. Sumbul steals the limelight with her impressive performance in the early evening show.

The show, which launched on September 25, 2023, started on a positive note. While it couldn't touch the 1 TVR mark in the first week, it performed at par with other shows on the channel including Katha Ankahee and Barsatein-Mausam Pyaar Ka.

Kavya registered an average TRP of 0.5 in the first week, receiving a decent response from the audience. The show is competing with Pandya Store, Parineetii and Shiv Shakti at the 7:30pm slot.

The casting head of the show shared a post to reveal the first week TRP of Kavya. She also informed the fans about the repeat telecast TRP of Kavya. "The official TRP given by the channel is 0.5, and the repeat telecast is 0.4. Here's hoping that we keep improving and rising. Thank you guys for all the love, appreciation, and constructive feedback. Please keep watching," she tweeted. Her post went viral on the internet.

Kavya registered a rating of 0.4 for its repeat telecast at 10:30pm.
