Kavya - Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon, revolves around the life of a strong, female character, played by the versatile actress - Sumbul Touqeer Khan.

Determined and powerful, the Imlie actress stunned the viewers in the first look of the Sony TV show as she brought alive the inspirational character of Kavya. "The lead character's desire is to serve the nation and do right by the common man while being equally focused on the importance of family. The sky is her limit and despite being put to the test, she is willing to go over and beyond to achieve the goal that she sets for herself," as per the statement released by the channel.

Sumbul Touqeer had promised to entertain the audience with a different project and she didn't disappoint. After Bigg Boss 16, she took up music videos, Entertainment Ki Raat and audio series. She is finally making a comeback with a fiction show.

Sumbul is playing the role of an IAS officer in the upcoming show, which is said to replace Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3. The promo has already captured the attention of the netizens, trending on social media for all the right reasons.

Wondering why Sumbul took up the role of Kavya? She shared a big revelation as she spilled the beans on her role in the show. "I found this narrative to be very progressive, and relatable. Her will to help the common man pulled me towards this story that will see her wanting to be an IAS officer. Despite belonging to a middle-class family, she has big ambitions and the grit that she possesses to face tests, both big and small to achieve her dream is what made me say yes to the role," the Bigg Boss 16 star said in a statement.

Kavya - Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon will launch on Sony Entertainment Television from next month.
