Kundali Bhagya update: Shraddha Arya's hit daily soap has remained in headlines ever since rumours about the leap surfaced on the internet. After staying tight-lipped for a while, the makers confirmed that the show will witness a time jump. As Kundali Bhagya took a generation leap, several artists including Shakti Arora, Sanjay Gagnani left the show.
Although ardent viewers of Kundali Bhagya are missing the original cast, they have welcomed the new joinees with open arms. Paras Kalnawat and Sana Sayyad have made a grand entry in the hit daily soap.
Gossip mills have been buzzing with the rumours that cricketer Shikhar Dhawan would be seen in a cameo role in Kundali Bhagya. The piece of information spread like wildfire on the internet, making the fans excited. They flooded the comments section of Dhawan's Instagram post with their messages, asking him if he was entering the show.
The cat is finally out of the bag. If you believed that the cricketer would make an entry in Kundali Bhagya, we have to burst the bubble. Contrary to the rumours, Shikhar is not making his TV debut with the show, which is produced by Ekta Kapoor.
How The Rumours Started?
Abhishek Kapur posted a picture with Shikhar Dhawan along with the caption, "It's always a lotta fun being around you ...love you pajji shikhardofficial." As Shikhar was seen in the uniform of a policeman, fans started speculating if he will be seen in the said role in Kundali Bhagya. This sparked speculations about his entry in the hit daily soap.
What's The Truth Behind Rumours?
Abhishek Kapur, while interacting with a leading daily, confirmed that Shikhar is not entering Kundali Bhagya. He asked the fans to not speculate, adding that the duo was shooting at the same studio and hence, he met the cricketer and clicked a few pictures with him.
What Abhishek Kapur Said?
Abhishek said that he was shooting for Kundali Bhagya at the same studio where Shikhar was present for the shoot of a TVC. He added that Dhawan was his senior during Under-19 days and hence, he met him on the sets. He also took his co-star Anjum Fakih while meeting the ace cricketer.
"I happen to know him since the days when I used to play cricket under 19 and he was my senior. So we met that day on the set and Anjum also wanted to meet him. So I just made them meet as well," Abhishek told Times Of India.
About Kundali Bhagya
Kundali Bhagya, which is the spin-off of Kumkum Bhagya, was launched in July 2017. The show emerged as a massive hit, generating huge TRPs for the channel at the 9:30pm slot. Despite competition from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, it managed to garnered amazing viewershup.
Shraddha Arya and Dheeraj Dhoopar originally played the lead roles in the show. Last year, Dheeraj aka Karan Luthra left the show as he believed that his character ran its course. Shakti Arora stepped into Dheeraj's shoes after he decided to quit the drama.
Last week, Shakti Anand replaced Shakti Arora as the new Karan Luthra.
