Lock Upp 2: Kangana Ranaut’s Much-Awaited Show Gets Postponed? Here’s When It’s Likely To Premiere Now

Ever since Colors TV's Bigg Boss 16 ended on February 12, ardent fans of reality shows were elated when reports suggested that Ekta Kapoor is set to launch the second season of Lock Upp.

Hosted by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, the first season streamed on ALTBalaji and MX Player last year and was a huge success. Since last month, there has been a constant buzz that the team has approached several popular names and is trying to rope in a great set of contestants. While an official announcement regarding the participants is still awaited, Lock Upp 2 was expected to premiere in mid-March.

KANGANA RANAUT'S LOCK UPP 2 GETS POSTPONED?

While fans have been eagerly waiting for its launch, the latest buzz suggests that Lock Upp 2 has been postponed now. Yes, you read that right!According to a report in The Siasat Daily, the second season of Lock Upp has been delayed and is likely to now premiere in April.

The report further added that Ekta Kapoor is also trying to shift Lock Upp from OTT to TV and is in talks with several TV channels. However, nothing is yet confirmed.

LIST OF RUMOURED CONTESTANTS OF LOCK UPP 2

Currently, many known names are rumoured to be in talks with the makers of Lock Upp. Bigg Boss 16 stars Archana Gautam and Soundarya Sharma, Divya Agarwal, and Umar Riaz, among others are said to be participating in the much-awaited show. However, the makers are yet to reveal it officially.

LOCK UPP 2 JAILER

Not just contestants, there's also a lot of confusion regarding the jailer of Lock Upp 2. Initially, buzz suggested that Karan Kundrra won't be able to return as jailer in the new season as he's currently busy with Colors TV's Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal and Rubina Dilaik might replace him.

While she denied the speculations, the latest reports suggested that the makers are planning to rope in both of them together as jailers in Lock Upp 2. However, we'll prefer waiting to see if the news is true or false.
