Although there is no official confirmation regarding the rumored contestants, there is speculation that Karan Kundrra may not reprise his role as the jailer in the upcoming season due to his current commitment to the Colors show Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal.

While the previous season streamed on MX Player and ALTBalaji, Lock Upp season 2 is rumoured to premiere on TV and there's been reports stating that the reality show will air on ZEE TV.

According to a Tellychakkar report, the show is scheduled to commence airing at 7 pm on April 7. There is a chance that it may replace Main Hoon Aparajita, but this news has not been confirmed.

Reportedly, Ekta Kapoor is making every effort this year to sign popular celebrities for the show in order to make it even more captivating than Bigg Boss.

Several known names including Divya Agarwal, Umar Riaz, Bigg Boss 11 fame Akash Dadlani, Soundarya Sharma, and Emiway Bantai are among the rumoured celebrities who are said to be approached to participate in Lock Upp 2. However, nothing is yet confirmed.
