Shrenu Parikh, who made her acting debut with Star Plus' Gulaal in 2010, has come a long way in her career and is among the most loved TV stars. She first rose to fame after playing the lead role of Aastha in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Ek Baar Phir opposite Avinash Sachdev.

However, Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna's much-loved Star Plus show Ishqbaaz made her a household name. Shrenu was paired opposite Kunal Jaisingh in the show and essayed the role of Gauri in it.

Ever since Ishqbaaz ended in 2018, she was seen in shows like Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna and Ghar Ek Mandir - Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki. Recently, she made her TV comeback with ZEE TV's newly-launched show Maitree.

While she's doing well professionally, her personal life too has been going great. For the unversed, Shrenu Parikh recently confirmed her relationship with TV actor Akshay Mhatre and the couple is in a happy space.

Well, the duo first met on the sets of their &TV show Ghar Ek Mandir and became friends. Soon, their friendship blossomed into love. After dating each other for some time, the much-in-love couple finally made it official.

Now that Shrenu and Akshay are in a steady relationship, are they thinking about getting married anytime soon? In a recent interview, the actress finally revealed their wedding plans and stated that they are thinking about exchanging wedding vows by the end of this year. Yes, you read that right!

Talking about their wedding, Shrenu told ETimes that they were thinking about getting married sometime back but not now as she's now busy with her new daily show Maitree which is the actress' priority right now. While the wedding has taken a back seat, they are hopeful to get hitched by the end of 2023.

Shrenu also revealed that convincing her parents about their relationship wasn't easy. Sharing the same, she added, "Well for Akshay it was quite easy. I remember he introduced me to his family as a co-actress though they guess that was what we were up to. However, it wasn't so easy for me to convince my parents as they always wanted me to get married to a Gujarati guy, also Akshay being an actor too was an issue, not a major one though. They tried convincing me to give our relationship a second thought but finally, when they met Akshay a few times, they liked him a lot. And finally agreed to our relationship."
