Ishqbaaz Actress Recalls 'Uncomfortable' Experience Of Doing Bold Scenes, Says 'Not Seeing Myself In…’
Best known for playing one of the lead actresses in Nakuul Mehta’s Ishqbaaz, popular TV star recalls the ‘uncomfortable’ experience of shooting for bold scenes in her last show.
TV actress Shrenu Parikh has come a long way in her career. After making her acting debut with Star Plus' Gulaal in 2010, she went on to feature in various shows including Havan, Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka, and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Ek Baar Phir.
She finally established herself as a leading TV star with Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna's much-loved Star Plus show Ishqbaaz. In the hit series, she was paired with Kunal Jaisingh and essayed the role of Gauri.
Ishqbaaz ended in 2018 after which she was seen playing lead roles in Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna and Ghar Ek Mandir - Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki. She recently returned to the small screen with ZEE TV's Maitree.
In 2021, Shrenu made her OTT debut with Hungama Play's Damaged 3 co-starring Aamna Sharif. In the series, her characters was quite different from her roles on TV and she even had a few bold scenes in it.
SHRENU PARIKH WON'T DO BOLD SCENES AGAIN ONSCREEN
In a recent interview, Shrenu finally talked about shooting bold scenes and revealed that the whole experience was quite 'uncomfortable'. The actress even made it clear that she won't do such scenes on OTT again. Yes, you read that right!
Talking about her inhibitions, the actress told ETimes, "Yes, I will not be doing bold content on web anymore. I did that in my last show Damaged and I didn't like it. Not seeing myself in such a scene but the whole process of doing a bold scene was quite uncomfortable even though it was shot quite aesthetically. so, now I have decided that such scenes are a big no for me and I am done with them."
SHRENU PARIKH DATING TV STAR AKSHAY MHATRE
While Shrenu is getting a positive response for her performance in Maitree, the actress' personal life is going great too. The actress recently confirmed dating TV actor Akshay Mhatre. The duo is in a happy space and are thinking about tying the knot by the end of this year.
For the unversed, Akshay and Shrenu met each other on the sets of their &TV show Ghar Ek Mandir - Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki and eventually fell in love.
