Manul Chudasama Takes Over Tunisha Sharma's Role In Ali Baba. Here's What She Has To Say About The Replacement

After more than a month since the tragic suicide of actor Tunisha Sharma on the set of Ali Baba: Daastan-e-Kabul, the show's makers have finally found a replacement for her role. Actor Manul Chudasama has been confirmed to be cast as the new Shehzaadi Meriam in the Sab TV program. Chudasama confirmed the news in an interview with a daily publication and discussed the sense of responsibility that comes with taking on the role.

For the unversed, actress Tunisha Sharma, who originally played the role of Shehzaadi Meriam, was found dead last year on the sets of her show. It was said that Tunisha had a relationship with her co-star Sheezan Khan, and her mother accused him of abetment to suicide.

MANUL CHUDASAMA ON REPLACING TUNISHA SHARMA

When asked about replacing Tunisha, who had become a household name in the country, Manul told ETimes, "Replacing wouldn't be the right word. I am not replacing Tunisha but coming up with a fresh perspective on the character. I can never take Tunisha's place, she did an amazing job in the show and I just hope that people love the character and shower us with the same love that they did before."

Further, adding that she is grateful for the opportunity, Manul said, "I am really grateful for the character and the show for choosing me. It is a surreal feeling to be a part of the show. This is my fourth show as a lead so there isn't any nervousness, instead, I am really excited to be a part of the show. I have already begun shooting."

WHO IS MANUL CHUDASAMA?

Manul Chudasama shot to fame with her show, Brij Ke Gopal, where she played the character of Radha opposite Paras Arora. Aside from this, she was last seen in Tenali Rama.

TUNISHA SHARMA DEATH CASE

Tunisha Sharma, 20, was discovered hanging in the make-up room of her show Ali Baba on December 24, last year. She was dating her-costar Sheezan Khan who was accused by Tunisha's mother of abetting her to suicide. Khan is now in judicial custody. As per reports, Khan and Tunisha broke up 15 days before her suicide, while his role is being played by actor Abhishek Nigam.
