MasterChef India season 7 has been one of the most talked about cooking reality shows and has brought cooking talents from all across the nation on one platform. The popular reality show was judged by Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna and Garima Arora. And now after entertaining the audience for around three months, MasterChef India season 7 has pulled its curtains down tonight. The grand finale was graced by the nation's most popular chef Sanjeev Kapoor and witnessed a difficult competition between Santa Sarmah, Nayanjyoti Saikia and Suvarna Bagul.
It was an interesting competition wherein the top three finalists were given a challenge by Sanjeev Kapoor and they were seen giving their best effort in the finale task. And after a strong and nail biting competition, Nayanjyoti Saikia was announced as the winner of MasterChef India season 7 after beating Shanta and Suvarna. Interestingly, Santa Sarmah was announced as the first runner up of the show. While Nayan was announced as the new MasterChef, he also won a whopping amount of Rs 25 lakhs and a golden coat.
It is a massive achievement for Nayanjyoti, who happens to be a student from Tinsukia, Assam, and managed to impress the judges with his cooking skills. In fact, he was one of the contestants who had managed to pass all the challenges on the show with flying colours. Talking about Nayanjyoti, Ranveer Brar said, "I think Nayanjyoti Saikia is a very well deserving home cook. He worked behind the scenes, kept giving this season his best and eventually there was a consistency to the dishes he presented us with. Also, there is honesty, simplicity and purity in his food which made him win the show. This win is sure to inspire young viewers who can look at "being a Chef" as a profession and not just a hobby. This season, the quality of talent that was ushered into the MasterChef Kitchen was quite overwhelming and choosing a winner from amongst such talented cooks was tough but we made the right choice".
As MasterChef India season 7 has come to an end tonight, the popular reality show will be replaced by Tina Datta and Jay Bhanushali's much talked about romance drama Rahe Na Rahe Hum and Megha Ray's Chalang.
