To take the competition to the next level, the judging panel welcomes celebrated Chef Vicky Ratnani as a guest judge. He brings with him a new challenge, an exciting 'Pressure Test' that leaves the contestants worrisome.

For this Pressure Test, Chef Vicky unveils a dish named Navreh, which translates to 'New Year' in Kashmiri. While the name signifies new beginnings, but for the home cooks, it marks the beginning of a difficult task. Their mission is to replicate the intricate flavours and techniques of the Navreh dish. Among the contestants entering this high-pressure challenge are Prachi Agarkar, Nidhi Sharma, Subhojit Sen, and Mohammed Ashiq.

Reflecting on this Pressure Test, Chef Pooja Dhingra stated, "Chef Vicky Ratnani's Pressure Test has undeniably brought a storm into the MasterChef India kitchen. His choice of the traditional Kashmiri dish Navreh added an intricate layer to test the abilities of home cooks. As mentors, we witnessed contestants grappling with new techniques, flavours and other nuances."

But as the pressure intensifies, so do the challenges. Prachi Agarkar, one of the contestants in the Pressure Test, shared her experience, saying, "The Pressure Test was incredibly difficult. I had to use a siphon gun for the first time and it was also my first attempt at making Kashmiri food. I was doing well until halfway, but later, I faced delays due to the complexity of all the elements involved. Unfortunately, my dish was not as complete as I had hoped it to be."

As the stakes get higher than ever, the question remains: who will go home, and who will survive the test? MasterChef India 8 is available for streaming online on Sony LIV. Chefs Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar, and Pooja Dhingra are the main judges of the reality show.
