The daily soap starring Ashish Kapoor and Vidhi Yadav will go off air in a month.

The cast and crew have already completed the shoot and the last episode of Molkki 2 will air this weekend. While the late promotions of Molkki 2 did set several tongues wagging, the news about its closure was never expected. According to a report in a leadiny daily, Molkki 2 has faced the axe due to low TRPs and also because of programming changes. The show started with a rating of 0.9 and later fell to 0.6. It had replaced channel's prime property Bigg Boss 16 last month.
Ekta Kapoor, Colors TV Had A Clash?
The report in Hindustan Times suggested that there were a lot clashes between Colors channel and the production house (Balaji Telefilms), which is owned by Ekta Kapoor. The production house requested the channel for more budget. However, later, the GEC decided to pull the plug in an overnight decision, the report added.
Vidhi Yadav Breaks Silence Over Molkki 2 Going Off Air
Vidhi Yadav, who plays the female lead, confirmed the show's closure, stating that the cast was informed on the occasion of Holi 2023. We were all shocked. We all are disappointed. Of course, I and a few others were even crying on the last date of the shoot.," she told Hindustan Times.
