Needless to say, it is a heartbreaking moment for the audience. Besides, it isn't easy for Neil to let go of the show that made him a household name and also played a key role in his love story with Aishwarya Sharma.

So when Neil was quizzed about his wife Aishwarya's reaction to his exit from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and said that she did get emotional about it. Neil told Access TV, "She is also extremely emotional about it. At the same time, ek journey hai kabhi na kabhi shuru hui thi to khatam bhi honi hai. so we are very practical in that sense. Shuruvaat hui thi, wo pehle ja chuki hai. Use pta tha ki kabhi na kabhi to hona hi tha. It's okay. ek nahi journey shuru karenge ab. she is very positive about it".

Meanwhile, Neil was also quizzed about his future plans and said he will be taking a break to rest at home for a couple of days. "Honestly kuch ni socha. ye jab khatam hoga to main 1-2 din araam se sounga uske baad sochunga karna kya hai. So as of now nothing is on plate and nothing is in the pipeline," he was quoted saying.
