Priyanka Chahar Choudhary's BFF REJECTS Bigg Boss 17, To Play LEAD In Chaand Jalne Laga?

Bigg Boss 17 update: Colors channel is all set to revamp its programming by pulling the plug on shows like DharamPatnii, Suhaagan, Saavi Ki Savaari and Agni Sakshi. Before launching Bigg Boss 17 in October, the leading GEC will introduce a daily soap in its line-up. Titled Chaand Jalne Laga, the daily soap will feature Vishal Aditya Singh in a different avatar.

CHAND JALNE LAGA CAST, TIME SLOT, LAUNCH DATE

Earlier this month, we revealed that Chand Jalne Laga will get a prime time slot on Colors TV. We also quashed the rumours of Ankit Gupta's Junooniyatt going off air. "Siddharth Kumar Tewary, who is riding high on the success of Shiv Shakti, is back with a new romantic drama. It will be different than his previous shows as there is a major twist that will entice the viewers," a source said.

A reliable source confirmed that Ankit Gupta and Gautam Vig's show was saved from getting axed. "Junooniyatt is not going anywhere. Chand Jalne Laga will be the next big launch on Colors channel along with Bigg Boss 17. It is expected to launch before Salman Khan's reality show. Have heard that Agnisakshi will be pulled off the plug while Chand Jalne Laga will replace it at 9:30pm slot. There are also chances that Junooniyatt might witness another time slot change as the channel wants to air the show at the best slot possible," the khabri said.

It will be Vishal's fourth big show with Colors TV after Bigg Boss 13, Chandrakanta, Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.

PRIYANKA CHOUDHARY'S BFF REJECTS BIGG BOSS SEASON 17

Last month, we informed our readers about Kanika Mann being a part of Bigg Boss 17. The Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 star, who is close friends with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, was approached for the show. A source close earlier exclusively told Filmibeat, "Yes, Kanika Mann has been approached for Bigg Boss 17. She has not accepted the offer yet. Unlike other seasons, Bigg Boss 17 will telecast from October 20, in the last leg of the month. There's still time for the show and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to introduce the best contestants possible."

As per the latest buzz, Kanika Mann has rejected the offer and she might play the lead role in Chand Jalne Laga opposite Vishal Aditya Singh. According to a report in a portal, Niyati Fatnani is out of the race and Kanika is most likely to bag the role.

"The search for the leading lady was on for a while. Now, talks are happening with Kanika Mann. There is a likelihood of Kanika bagging the lead role in the show," a source told IWMBuzz.
