PriyAnkit Relationship Status: Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who made her TV debut with a supporting role in Colors TV's Gathbandhan, has now established herself among the most popular celebrities on the small screen.

While she rose to fame after essaying the lead role of Tejo in Udaariyaan, Salman Khan's controversial reality show Bigg Boss 16 made her a household name. While she came out of the superhit show in February this year as the second runner-up, her fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of her next big projects.

Amid all this, there have been constant rumours that she's dating Ankit Gupta, who is currently winning hearts as Jahaan in Junooniyatt. While the duo has always maintained that they are just friends, a section of their fandom still believes that they are just keeping their relationship a secret.

In a recent interview, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary opened up about the constant dating rumours and again cleared up that they are great buddies. Talking to Pinkvilla, she stated, "Yeh rishta bilkul ek pyaari si dosti kehlata hai guys. Mai honestly batau, he's a very good friend of mine. Kuch rishte na aapko pata nahi hote, Ankit ne kabhi nahi socha hoga ki meri usse itni acchi dosti ho jaegi. Mujhe to hamesha se pasand that, mujhe use chedna pasand tha. Mereko accha dost pehle se lagne laga tha wo. Lekin wo logon se thoda distance pe rehta hai na."

"But then, later he realised ki yaar acchi hai. Toh ye rishta poora dosti ka hai usse zyaada kuch nahi hai," she added.

One being asked that people often say that friendship is the first stage of love, the actress said, "Pyaar, dosti definitely ho sakti hai maybe logon ke liye. But, I can't say anything, matlab he's a friend and we're not thinking about anything right now. Because he's busy in his work, I'm busy with my work. So, we both are working, we both are happy. We talk to each other, we tell each other ki kya raha, kaisa raha tera din. So, that's how we are. Like, we have a very good bond, good friends."

DOES LINKUP RUMOURS WITH ANKIT GUPTA AFFECT PRIYANKA CHAHAR CHOUDHARY?

Priyanka is not affected with the ongoing rumours about her and Ankit's relationship status and concluded, "Dekho, rumours jo chal rahe hai, chalte rehne do. At the end, dekho, suno sabki karo man ki. It's not about that also. But, aapko pata hai kya cheez hai. Ab waha par 10 jan jo bhi baat bolenge, unko waisa soch rahe hai, shayad unko waisa dikh raha hai, jo bhi hai. But, humein pata hai ki kya hai sach. I think, wo humei nahi batane ki zaroorat hai kisiko jab do logon ke beech ki baat hai. Aise mujhe kabhi bother nahi karte koi bhi rumour ya anything. I'm like, it's fine, bring it on."

PRIYANKA CHAHAR CHOUDHARY UPCOMING PROJECTS

Last month, several reports suggested that Priyanka is finalised for Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 and will be joining her Bigg Boss 16 participants Shiv Thakare and Archana Gautam on the show. However, she has reportedly backed out of the show and wishes to focus on acting projects as of now.

While it is being said that she's getting several good offers after Bigg Boss 16, she is yet to finalise her next project.
