Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: Rajan Shahi's show has remained in the headlines ever since it took a generation leap. Last month, the daily soap introduced a time jump and Harshad Chopda & Pranali Rathod exited the serial. Harshad and Pranali, who played the respective roles of Abhimanyu and Akshara, bid adieu to the show as they were not required post the leap.

Samridhi Shukla and Shehzada Dhami joined the show as the new leads. While Samridhi is seen as Abhira, Shehzada plays the role of Armaan. Their characters are as different as chalk and cheese but they will end up marrying each other. Despite not liking each other, Armaan and Armaan will be forced to marry because of Akshara's wish.

Akshara will die in the serial as Yuvraj will shoot her. Before her death, she will request Armaan to take care of her daughter. Just like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein, Yeh Rishta will also witness a track where Armaan and Ruhi got separated and the former has to marry Abhira.

Samridhii Shukla opened up about the comparison between the tracks of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The actress, while talking to a portal, spoke about fans comparing YRKKH's current track with the original storyline of GHKPM.

Samridhi said that she has come across several comments about the similarity between Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, adding that she has followed the romantic drama that stars Bhavika Sharma and Shakti Arora in lead roles. She stated she cannot make a direct comparison.

The Saavi Ki Savaari star said that she wanted to emphasize that certain things are not under the control of the actors. She added that actors can only perform and there are others, who write the script.

"I cannot comment on the extent of resemblance between our show and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin since I haven't watched it. However, I trust our team to handle the narrative effectively," Samridhi Shukla told India Forums. She added that her focus is on acting and she has confidence on the team of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
