Sapnon Ki Chhalaang's Kashish Duggal Reveals How Casting Has Changed In The Industry Over The Years

Actress Kashish Duggal, who is a well-known name in the entertainment industry, is currently seen playing the character of Suman Yadav in the show Sapnon Ki Chhalaang. Recently, in a tete-tete with us, Kashish talked about how actors used to get casted years back and reveals how things have changed in the industry with respect to casting.

Having been in the industry for so many years, Kashish recalls, "I remember that when I started working, there weren't any casting directors in the industry. We used to have a meeting with the producer or director and, after speaking one dialogue, they used to cast us in a project. Portfolios didn't even exist in those days as we used to give our photographs to the production houses. In my opinion, that wasn't a systematic era and there weren't many resources for us which are available nowadays."

Talking about the changes in the procedure of casting and revealing which era she likes the most, Kashish says, "Nowadays, the procedure of casting has completely changed as things have become systematic and organized. Today, an actor goes through multiple rounds of auditions, mock shoots before being finalized for a project, which is really a good thing. As far as comparison is concerned, I like this era of casting because back then, the procedure of casting was completely different."

Professionally, Kashish has also been a part of shows like Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2, Hari Mirch Lal Mirch, Jyoti, Baal Gopal Kare Dhamal, Hello Pratibha, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and Sapno se Bhare Naina. She is also known for her acting chops in shows like Lockdown Ki Love Story, Sufiyana Pyaar Mera, Paramavatar Shri Krishna, Kisi Ki Nazar Na Lage and many more. Not only this, but the actress has also acted in films; Koi Mil Gya, Kisna, Khelein hum Jee jaan se and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain.
