Barsaatein: Shivangi Joshi's Character Name Revealed. THIS Actress To Play Her Mother In Kushal Tandon's Show

Barsaatein update: Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon are all set to entertain the audience with a new drama. Ekta Kapoor, who is currently producing Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3 for Sony Entertainment Television, is gearing up to launch her second show on the same channel.

EKTA KAPOOR LIKES SHIVANGI JOSHI'S CAMEO IN BEKABOO

Before Barsaatein, Shivangi was seen in a special appearance in Bekaboo, which is also produced by Ekta Kapoor. The TV Czarina liked her performance in the supernatural drama that stars Eisha Singh and Shalin Bhanot in lead roles.

"Shivangi fits the bill perfectly for the role of a journalist. She is one of the most popular actresses on television, and we believe that she is the right person for the character that we have envisioned. Ekta Kapoor ma'am liked her cameo in Bekaboo," a source earlier told Filmibeat.

SHIVANGI JOSHI'S SHOW GETS A TITLE

The same source shared an interesting update about the title of the daily soap. "The tentative title of the show is Barsaatein and it will have a fresh storyline, different than the run-of-the-mill soaps on telly. As the title suggests, it will be launched at the right time, during monsoons, signifying the theme of the drama. Shivangi and Kushal's new avatars will definitely leave the audience awestruck," the source exclusively told us.

The weekday show will hit the airwaves next month at a prime time slot on Sony TV. The leaked photos from the drama have already captured the attention of the viewers on social media.

SHIVANGI JOSHI CHARACTER NAME IN BARSAATEIN

According to a report in a portal, the makers have finalised the actress, who will play Shivangi's mother in the show. Saii Ranade, who featured in shows like Tara From Satara and Laado Veerpur Ki Mardani, will essay the role of Shivangi's foster mom.

Interestingly, the report also revealed Shivangi's character's name. After winning hearts as Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the Balika Vadhu 2 star will be seen as Aradhana in Barsaatein.

"Saii has come on board to play a pivotal role. She will be portraying the character 'Bhakti Sahni', a foster mother of Aradhana (Shivangi). The story starts with a plot where Aradhana, who is a journalist, wants to work in Reyansh's (Kushal Tandon) firm, but her mother Bhakti (Saii), who is a Dentist wants her to follow the medical profession," a source told IWMBuzz.
