Shivangi Joshi new TV show: Our very own Naira is all set to entertain the audience with an upcoming show, which will be produced by Ekta Kapoor. Filmibeat had earlier informed our readers that the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress will play the role of a ground journalist in the daily soap that will air on Sony Entertainment Television.

SHIVANGI JOSHI CONFIRMED FOR SONY TV SHOW

A source close to the production house had exclusively told Filmibeat, "Shivangi fits the bill perfectly for the role of a journalist. She is one of the most popular actresses on television, and we believe that she is the right person for the character that we have envisioned."

"Ekta Kapoor ma'am liked her cameo in Bekaboo, which she launched under her home production house. If things go as planned, we might Shivangi in the upcoming Sony TV show," the source added. And now, we have got an official confirmation about the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress bagging the show, which is said to be different than the run-of-the-mill dramas.

SHIVANGI JOSHI LEAD HERO IN SONY TV SHOW REVEALED

If the recent report in a leading daily is to be believed, the makers have finalised the leading hero opposite Shivangi. Guess what? A popular TV star will make his return to television with the upcoming show.

We are talking about Kushal Tandon. The actor, who shot to fame after playing the lead in Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai opposite Nia Sharma, will make his comeback with the soon-to-be launched show. Interestingly, Kushal's character will be at loggerheads with Shivangi's character. The duo will fall in love in the later stage of the story, giving us another pair to ship.

"Kushal's and Shivangi's characters will be shown at loggerheads in the beginning only to fall in love eventually," a source told Times Of India.

SHIVANGI JOSHI WINS HEARTS IN BEKABOO

Before bagging the show, Shivangi played a cameo role in Bekaboo that stars Eisha Singh and Shalin Bhanot in leads. The Balika Vadhu 2 actress impressed the viewers during her two-episode special appearance, earning brownie points.

Shivangi is working with Sony TV for the first time while Kushal has earlier worked with the channel in Beyhadh that starred Jennifer Winget as Maya.
