EXCLUSIVE! Siddhartha Vankar: Sasuji Tune Meri Kadar Na Jani Will Educate Society About Wrong Ideologies

Sasuji Tune Meri Kadar Na Jani, the upcoming show is creatively helmed by Siddhartha Vankar, who has earlier helmed successful shows Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, Teri Meri Doriyaann etc. He will be the Showrunner of the project.

The promo of the show was recently released, which gives a glimpse of what 'Sasuji Tune Meri Kadar Na Jani' is about. In the promo, Anushka plays the role of Pallavi, who looks interested in wearing western outfits. However, her mom says she can wear those at her in-laws' place as at her home she will only be allowed to wear salwar suit. On the other hand, her mother-in-law is shown to be ripping off jeans to make them mopping clothes. She gets them ready for the daughter-in-law to take up the role of a maid.

Siddhartha said, "TV audience has already enjoyed many Saas-Bahu drama, but this show has a fresh approach. It will narrate the relationship between a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law. In our show the heroine is always brought up to be a perfect bahu or a wife by her parents. She couldn't live as an individual with a life of her own and being prepared for the worst that comes in her life."

"It is noticed that mostly in small towns a girl child is asked to pursue her intrest post marriage. She is prohibited to do many activities like getting hair coloured, wearing western clothes, going for a vacation etc. As parents are mostly scared and worried about their daughter's marriage. Out show will educate the society so that it can bring a change in such wrong ideologies," he added.

The show produced by Nikhil Sinha stars Anushka Merchande and Akshit Sukhija in lead roles. It also features popular actors like Jiten Lalwani, Purva Parag, Sucheta Khanna among others.
