Sumbul became a household name after playing the lead role in Imlie, where she was paired opposite Gashmeer Mahajani and later Fahmaan Khan. Her impressive performance captured the attention of the viewers. Whether it was sizzling chemistry with Fahmaan or her top-notch act, the TV diva created ripples on the small screen.

After her stint in Imlie ended, she participated in Bigg Boss 16. Although she couldn't lift the winner's trophy of Salman Khan's show, she earned a huge fan following. On the professional front, Sumbul Touqeer will be next seen in Kavya-Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon. She is essaying the role of an IAS officer in the much-awaited drama, where she is paired opposite Mishkat Varma. The show will showcase the story of Kavya, who strikes a balance between her married and professional life despite the ups and downs.

KAVYA LAUNCH DATE, TIME SLOT

Filmibeat exclusively reported about Sony Entertainment Television launching Kavya at a prime time slot from next month. Our reliable source stated, "The channel is still deciding the timings of Sumbul Touqeer's upcoming show. It can be either 7:30pm or 10pm. Things will be clear in the next few days. One thing is clear- the channel has high hopes from the show and they are leaving no stone unturned to present it on a grand scale."

"If Kavya gets the 10pm slot, Sumbul's show will compete with Fahmaan Khan starrer DharamPatnii. While gossip mills suggest that DharamPatni has received an extension of six months, it is expected to go off air to make way for Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 17," the source quipped. Fahmaan Khan's DharamPatni was moved to 10pm slot, receiving an extension from Colors channel due to popular demand.
