The upcoming drama has been making waves ever since the first promo was unveiled. The TV diva will be seen in a different avatar in Kavya as she is playing the role of an IAS officer.

KAVYA STORYLINE, LAUNCH DATE

Unlike other daily soaps that focus on kitchen politics and love triangles, Kavya will showcase the story of two individuals, who are IAS aspirants. How a woman strikes a balance between her married and professional life forms the crux of the story.

The press conference of Kavya was conducted on Thursday (September 21) and the entire cast including Sumbul Touqeer, Anuj Sullere and Mishkat Varma were present during the event. They answered several questions related to the show.

Sumbul, who was last seen in Bigg Boss 16, spoke about her new mom's reaction to her upcoming show. The Imie actress welcomed a new member into her family when her father remarried. She is beaming with joy as her new mom and sister have joined her family. From spending time with her sister to sharing pictures with Izra, the 19-year-old often gives a glimpse of her special moments on social media.

Sumbul spilled the beans about her mother's special reaction to Kavya. She said that her mum has watched her work and she is proud of her. Indeed, her mom had the most special reaction to Kavya.

"She is also very proud of me. She is not from the industry or anywhere related to the industry. Lekin unko bahut acha laga. She has seen me in Bigg Boss 16, Imlie. Main unko janti thi, unko bhi bahut acha laga. Mere ghar pe sabhi khush hai," Sumbul told ETimes.

Kavya-Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon will launch on September 25 at 7:30pm on Sony Entertainment Television. The show will replace Tina Datta and Jay Bhanushali starrer Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum, which is ending tonight on the channel.
