Kavya Update: Kundali Bhagya Actress Joins The Cast Of Sumbul Touqeer’s New Show; Deets Inside

Sumbul Touqeer Khan never fails to surprise the audience. After winning hearts with her stint in Bigg Boss 16, the diva had recently treated fans with a beautiful song Sazishen opposite Sumedh Mudgalkar. The song turned out to be a big hit and now Sumbul is making headlines for her new project.

Titled as Kavya - Ek Jazba Ek Junoon, the show will feature Sumbul in the role of an IAS Officer and her first look has taken the social media by a storm already. Produced by DJ Units, the show will also star Mishkat Varma in the lead role and will mark his first collaboration with Sumbul. The show will revolve around Kavya and the challenges faced by a female IAS officer.

Needless to say, fans are waiting for Kavya - Ek Jazba Ek Junoon premiere with a bated breath. And now, we have a yet another scoop about this much awaited show. As per a report published in Telly Chakkar, another actress has joined the cast of Sumbul's new show.

We are talking about Gayatri Soham. According to media reports, the actress, who was earlier seen in shows like Kundali Bhagya, Pandya Store, Imlie etc, has been roped in for the show for an interesting role. However, not much details have been unveiled about Gayatri's role so far.

Apart from Sumbul, Mishkat and Gayatri, Imlie actor Chandresh Singh has also been reportedly roped in for Kavya - Ek Jazba Ek Junoon. For the uninitiated, Chandresh played the role of Sumbul's father in law in the popular show.

Meanwhile, talking about Kavya - Ek Jazba Ek Junoon is likely to premiere soon on Sony and will be replacing Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar's popular show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3.

"Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3 was always meant to be a finite series. It is expected to go off air in August 2023 as it was a 3-month fixed show. Kavya is said to bolster Sony TV's early evening programming. The actress has shot for the promo and she will commence the shoot soon," a source had told Filmibeat. Looks like Kavya - Ek Jazba Ek Junoon will be going on air in August this year.
