Sumbul Touqeer Or Megha Chakraborty? Imlie New Lead Adrija Roy Reveals Her Favourite Imlie Before Leap

Imlie leap update: Sumbul Touqeer and Gashmeer Mahajani started the journey, Megha Chakraborty-Karan Vohra took charge from them and now, Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy have been given the mantle to lead the show. Star Plus' hit show will witness another generation leap as the makers have decided to revamp the storyline.

IMLIE SEASON 3 TO HAVE A DIFFERENT STORYLINE

Sumbul Touqeer and Fahmaan Khan were seen as new Imlie aka Megha Chakraborty's parents in the second of the show. However, this time, the production house has opted for a different story and there's no connection with the third season.

Imlie and Atharv will die in a bomb blast, similar to the way Imlie and Aryan Singh Rathod met their ending in Imlie season one. The generation leap has received mixed response from the audience as they believe that the show should end instead of dragging it any further.

The leap episodes of Imlie will telecast on Star Plus from September 11, 2023 at 8:30pm slot. Sharing a promo, Adrija wrote a long post, expressing her excitement on playing the lead role in the popular show.

SUMBUL TOUQEER OR MEGHA CHAKRABORTY? WHO IS THE BEST IMLIE

Sumbul Touqeer Khan was the soul and heart of Imlie as she carried the show for two long years. Fans loved her chemistry with Fahmaan Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani. They were disappointed when the Bigg Boss 16 star made an exit from the daily soap.

While it took some time for the audience to accept Megha Chakraborty, she also managed to impress everyone with her impressive performance. When Adrija Roy, the new Imlie, was asked to choose her favourite, she gave an interesting reply.

The Durga Aur Charu actress took her time to answer the question in a thoughtful manner. She said that it is challenging to make a comparison in direct times as both actresses did an amazing job.

"The portrayals of the characters by Sumbul in the first season and by Megha in the second season were unique in their own right," she told India Forums. She praised Sumbul' Touqeer's portrayal of Imlie, calling it exceptional.

Adrija mentioned that both the characters had distinct qualities and were inspirational.
