Sumbul Touqeer new show: Just because we have full freedom to access social media and write anything doesn't mean that we can target someone. While celebrities do follow the mantra of 'ignorance is bliss', there are times they must give it back to trolls. Kudos to Sumbul Touqeer Khan for giving a befitting reply to a person, who commented about her educational qualification as she gears up to play an IAS officer in Sony TV's Kavya.

SUMBUL TOUQEER RESPONDS TO TROLLS

On Saturday (July 22), the Imlie star shared a post on her official Twitter handle, reacting to the user, who took a jibe at her and asked why she was playing an IAS officer. While the troll has deleted the twice, she didn't think twice before taking a jibe at someone.

After Sumbul noticed the tweet, she gave an epic 'karara jawab' to the troll and mentioned that she has been balancing her studies and acting in the right way. She stated that when the actors are asked to essay the character of a murderer, they don't actually kill a person. Perfect reply, isn't it?

"Saw someone commenting on my education qualification....this is what I've been doing all along balancing my studies and passion at the same time and unlike you I'm quite good at that... And as actors when we are asked to play the role of a murderer, actors don't actually kill someone," she wrote on the micro-blogging site.

DJ Creative Unit's casting head also took a stand for Sumbul, mentioning that education doesn't play a part in deciding the artist. She stated that an actor's calibre and acting skills are considered while selecting him/her for a project.

An actor's qualification, background, and any other personal info isn't taken into consideration while casting them. Sumbul is a really good actor who understands the nuances and intricacies of the character. She fits the part, and this is all that matters," her tweet read.

Sumbul, who shot to fame after playing the role of Imlie in Star Plus' show of the same name, will be making her comeback in the fiction space with Kavya- Ek Jazba Ek Junoon. The upcoming show, which will air on Sony Entertainment Television, will feature her as an IAS officer.

The story will focus on the love story of an IPS and IAS officer and how the female civil servant faces the challenge of striving hard for her career and taking care of the household and marital life.
