Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Asit Modi To Face Chargesheet In Sexual Harassment Case, Confirms Jennifer

It hasn't been long since Jennifer Mistry took the television industry by a storm with her sudden exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress, who played the role of Roshan Sodhi in the show, made sexual harassment allegations against producer Asit Modi aka Asit Kumarr Modi.

Her allegations left everyone shocked. It was reported that Jennifer had claimed that she was 'subjected to humiliation and insult' on the set.

She also spoke about being sacked from the show during pregnancy and how the makers didn't give the the payment for months. The media reports also suggested that she had filed a complaint against Asit Modi, Jatin Bajaj (executive producer), Sohail Ramani (project head). And while the matter has left everyone brimming with an opinion, Jennifer has now shared another update in the matter.

In her recent interaction with Zoom, Jennifer asserted that she was called by the cops for the Panchanama process on July 29 and that a chargesheet will be filed soon against Asit Modi. She also emphasised that she has submitted all the evidences to substantiate her allegations.

"When I met them on Saturday, the police told me that the chargesheet against Asit Modi will be readied soon. I have submitted to them all the evidence I have," she added. Meanwhile, Jennifer also emphasised that she has been fighting the battle alone with barely any support from her former co-stars.

Earlier, talking to Filmibeat, Jennifer stated, "Aur logon ke saath bhi hota hai, wo unki jb himmat hui wo bolenge. Mai kisi ke liye thode hi na jawabdaar baithi hu. Mere nikalne se wo log hatt gaye hain... jaise koi janta bhi nahi mujhe. Wo log jab wahan se nikalenge tab wo bolenge. Abhi bhi pehle jo log nikale hain kuch log ne bola hai kuch ne nahi bola. Shailesh ji ne start kia, sbke saath kuch na kuch hua hai. kitne log bolna chahenge mujhe nahi malum". To recall, earlier Shailesh Lodha, who played the titular role in the show, had accused the TMKOC makers of non payment of his dues.

Meanwhile, Asit Modi has dismissed all the allegations levelled against him. In fact, he asserted that he isn't aware if an FIR has been registered in the case and chose to keep mum about the matter
