TMKOC controversy: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal has accused the show's producer Asit Modi of sexual harassment two months after quitting the show. The actress, who was seen as Roshan Sodhi in the sitcom, made shocking allegations against Asit and two more people from the production house. After being a part of the show for over a decade, Jennifer bid adieu to the show in March 2023.

TAARAK MEHTA KA OOLTAH CHASHMAH CONTROVERSY

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal levelled serious allegations against Asit Modi, Jatin Bajaj (executive producer), Sohail Ramani (project head). She lodged a complaint against the trio, accusing them of sexual harassment on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

According to a report in a portal, the actress stopped the shoot for TMKOC two months back. She claimed that she was forced to leave the show's set after Sohail and Jatin 'insulted' her. After staying tight-lipped about the same, Jennifer finally broke her silence on the matter.

Jennifer confirmed that she is no longer a part of Taarak Mehta, mentioning that she shot for the last episode on March 6. She stated that she was 'subjected to humiliation and insult' on the set.

She claimed that several incidents happened with on the set of TMKOC but she chose to stay silent. Spilling the beans on the same, she said that she was sacked when she was pregnant as Gurucharan Singh (who earlier played her on-screen husband) was making an exit from the show.

"Khoon ka ghoot peekar I've ignored. Like during pregnancy, I didn't want to leave the show, they sacked me," she told ETimes.

The actress has claimed that Asit Modi made sexual advances towards her in the past. She told the portal that she ignored all his statements as she feared she would lose the work. The actress added that the team tried to 'forcefully stop' her on the set and didn't allow her to leave. Mentioning that she sent a complaint to the authorities last month, she said that she didn't get any revert.
