Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Producer Asit Modi has confirmed that Nitish Bhaluni will play the new Tapu in the sitcom starring Dilip Joshi. The actor has replaced Raj Anadkat.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: After months of speculations, the makers of the hit sitcom have confirmed that a new Tapu will be seen in TMKOC. Raj Anadkat, who played the role of Tapu, is no longer a part of the show. As he confirmed his exit from the popular show, fans started wondering who will play the role of new Tipendra Jethalal Gada.
Asit Modi, while interacting with the audience through a video message, confirmed that Nitish Bhaluni will replace Raj Anadkat in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He made the official announcement by posting a clip on the YouTube channel of the classic show. On Wednesday (February 15), he welcomed Nitish on board.
Asit Modi Welcomes Nitish Bhaluni
"Aap logo ne bahut din se Gokul dham society pe kanch tootne ki awaz nahi suni hai na. Main aapke samne aaj breaking news share karne ja raha hu. Natkhat Tapu, masti karne wala Tapu. Hamari Taarak Mehta ki team aapke pyaar se bani hai. Mera aniruddh hai ki aap aise hi apna pyaar Tapu pe barsate rahiyega," Asit Modi said in his message.
The new Tapu aka Nitish Bhaluni donned a red jacket as he started the shoot for TMKOC. His entry episode is expected to fetch amazing TRPs as the character will return after a long time.

Nitish Bhaluni has landed his first major role with Taarak Mehta. He earlier worked in Meri Doli Mere Angne and other shows. The young actor managed to crack the audition for Tapu, impressing the casting team and hence, got an opportunity to essay the character of Dilip Joshi's on-screen son.
Nitish To Replace Raj Anadkat
Nitish Bhaluni has stepped into Raj Anadkat's shoes in TMKOC. Raj had earlier replaced Bhavya Gandhi, who quit the show in 2017. Raj became a household name after playing the role of Tapu, receiving love from all the corners. Raj enjoys a significant fan following on Instagram with over 2 million followers. He also has a successful YouTube channel.

TMKOC, which is the longest running sitcom on Indian television, stars Dilip Joshi, Sunanaya Fozdar and Sachin Shroff. The show has been entertaining the viewers since the past 14 years now. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah will complete fifteen successful years in July 2023.
While several shows have went off air in the past 15 years, TMKOC continues to be a fan favourite. Despite the absence of Dayaben aka Disha Vakani, the show has been performing quite well in terms of TRPs.
