Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Actor Confirms Entry In Tejasswi Prakash’s Naagin 6, To Play A Positive Naag
Naagin 6: As Tejasswi Prakash’s popular Colors show recently got another extension of two months, the makers are set to introduce a positive naag in the supernatural drama.
Naagin 6 Update: After a successful run of one year, the sixth season of Colors TV's much loved supernatural drama was confirmed to end in February. Featuring Tejasswi Prakash in the titular role, the show premiered in February last year and has been fetching decent numbers since then.
As Naagin 6 is still faring well on the TRP charts, the channel has decided to extend it for another two months and it is now likely to end in April this year.
Well, this is indeed a great piece of news for the show' fans and the makers are now planning to introduce many twists and turns in the storyline ahead. Amid all this, Naagin 6 is set to witness a new entry.
Actor Gultesham, who was last seen in Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is set to enter the show headlined by Tejasswi Prakash. While he's mostly known for playing negative roles in various popular shows, the actor is essaying the role of a positive Naag in Naagin 6.
Confirming the same, Gultesham told ETimes, "I will be introduced as a naag (shape-shifting man), who will support Tejasswi's character in her endeavours. I am nervous and excited at the same time, as I have never played a character like this. It's also a big responsibility because, with every new character, the makers expect the ratings to get better. So, I will put my best foot forward and play the part with conviction. I am looking forward to working with the cast of Naagin 6."
Talking about being typecasted in negative roles, the actor added, "I have no clue why I am always offered negative characters. But I am excited about breaking away from the image. I want this stint to be successful, as it will result in more such opportunities."
After playing negative parts in various shows, Gultesham had decided to take a break from TV and wanted to try his hands at web shows and films. However, the Naagin 6 offer changed his mind and he's now excited to be a part of it.
On the career front, Gultesham has been a part of various shows including Kumkum Bhagya, Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani, and Maddam Sir among others.
