Tera Mera Saath Rahe Fame Sumati Singh On Celebrating Christmas & Making It A Special Time

Christmas 2023: With just days away from Christmas, the world prepares for one of the most loved and celebrated holidays around the globe. Actress Sumati Singh, currently seen on Kismat Ki Lakiro Se, opens up on her Christmas plans and how she and her friends together make it a special occasion.

Sumati shares some of the traditions she carries out with her friends, "I decorate the Christmas tree in my house and with my close Catholic friends, and we frequently visit each other for lunches and dinners. We collaborate to decorate their tree, and then everyone gathers at my place for further decorations. While there aren't specific rituals, we ensure to assist anyone celebrating Christmas in our friend circle with decorating and preparing food."

Despite busy schedules, she and her friends ensure to celebrate Christmas every year, she says, "On holidays, we adorn our rooms with festive decorations like Santa and Merry Christmas decor. We exchange wishes regularly, and every other day, someone brings food, creating moments of joy amid our busy schedules. Without fail, we ensure to celebrate yearly, and I make it a point to visit one of my best friends' houses. I'm always graciously invited, and I'm treated as a part of their family. On the night of the 24th, we gather for a splendid celebration. Her dad, with an impressive collection of wines from around the world, adds a unique touch to the festivities."

The actress also reflects on a special Christmas memory years ago, "My best Christmas memory dates back to 2015 when I was in Lonavala with my best friends. The weather was delightful, and we attended a church service. Following prayers, there was a beautiful ritual where everyone exchanged gifts and enjoyed dancing together."

Sumati also hosted a themed Christmas party last year at her home. "Last year, I hosted a party at my home, conveniently close to my set, making it the preferred gathering spot for everyone. The theme was fairy tales for the girls, while the boys had the freedom to choose whatever theme they desired."

As Christmas brings another opportunity to enjoy delicacies, she shares her favourite, "The brownies which are homemade are what I look forward to. There are many different kinds of brownies out there and I love to have them"

There is one Christmas movie which stands out for Sumati and she shares it with us, "The Holiday' is a movie that holds a special place in my heart. The portrayal of two distinct characters by different actors captivates me. While I enjoy watching various Christmas movies, 'The Holiday' is particularly sentimental for me. I've cherished it since my childhood, making it a timeless favorite."
