On
Wednesday,
rapper
and
singer
Shubhneet
Singh's
India
tour
was
cancelled
after
he
shared
a
distorted
map
of
India.
The
popular
singer
has
been
accused
of
being
a
Khalistani
sympathizer
and
faced
severe
backlash
after
it
was
alleged
that
he
supported
Khalistani
elements
in
a
social
media
post.
Yesterday,
Shubh
in
his
Instagram
post
broke
his
silence
over
the
ongoing
controversy.
"My
intent
in
resharing
that
post
on
my
story
was
only
to
Pray
for
Punjab
as
there
were
reports
of
electricity
and
internet
shutdowns
in
the
state.
There
were
no
other
thoughts
behind
it,"Shubh
said.
Many
prominent
personalities
are
sharing
their
opinion
regarding
the
same
and
recently,
actor
Kanwalpreet
Singh,
shared
his
viewpoint
about
Shubh's
explanation.
Talking
about
the
same,
Kanwalpreet
says,"I
do
believe
that
there
cannot
be
a
valid
reason
to
share
a
distorted
map
of
India.
I
don't
know
whether
he
did
it
knowingly
or
unknowingly,
but
his
action
hurted
the
sentiments
of
many
people.
After
sharing
such
a
kind
of
post,
he
cannot
twist
the
reason
behind
it
because
does
it
even
look
justifiable
to
remove
some
parts
from
the
map
of
India
only
to
raise
the
issue
of
electricity
and
internet
outrage?
It
was
truly
wrong.
I
am
a
proud
Indian
and
do
not
support
such
kinds
of
hurtful
acts."
Professionally,
Kanwalpreet
Singh
is
popularly
known
for
his
performance
in
the
TV
show
'Taarak
Mehta
Ka
Ooltah
Chashmah'.
He
was
last
seen
in
the
show
Channa
Mereya
in
Star
Bharat.
The
actor
has
also
been
a
part
of
various
projects,
like
Heropanti
2,
Tamasha
and
others.
Now,
he
is
all
set
to
mark
his
Marathi
debut
with
the
film-
Dil
Dosti
Deewangi.
