Tunisha Sharma Death: Sheezan Khan Walks Out Of Jail After 2

Television actor Sheezan Khan was released from central jail on Sunday after a court in Vasai in Maharashtra's Palghar district granted him bail on Saturday in actress Tunisha Sharma's death case. Khan was arrested by Waliv police in December last year for the alleged suicide of his co-star Tunisha. The actor, who has been in jail for about 70 days, has been released on a surety of Rs 1 lakh and has also been ordered to surrender his passport, which is part of the conditions of his bail.

Granting Khan bail in the actress's death, the court said that since the investigation was complete and a chargesheet was filed, there was no need to keep the actor in jail. Sheezan Khan was the lead actor in the SAB TV serial Ali Baba: Daastan E Kabul, and 20-year-old Tunisha Sharma was his co-star. She allegedly died by hanging herself inside her makeup room on the sets of the show on December 24, 2022.

On the complaint of Sharma's mother, Khan was arrested the next day for abetment of suicide. It was reported that both actors were in a serious relationship and had broken up a few weeks before the incident. In their chargesheet, the Waliv police claimed that the CCTV footage obtained from the studio showed Sharam had met Khan before dying and accused him of being responsible for her suicide. On the other hand, Kahn's lawyers Shailendra Mishra and Sharad Rai denied the allegations in court and called him innocent. HOW DID SHEEZAN KHAN' SISTERS REACT

Reacting to Sheezan Khan's bail, his sister Falak Naaz, who is also an actress, said, "Sach ki jeet hui hai" (Truth has prevailed). She also took to Instagram Stories and wrote, 'Alhamdulillah', as she offered her gratitude to God. Naaz also added that her family hopes they will get relief from the Bombay High Court as well. While Sheezan's other sister, Shafaq Naaz, took to social media and wrote, "Shukar."

WHY WAS SHEEZAN KHAN ARRESTED?

Police filed a 500-page chargesheet alleging that Sheezan Khan had a hand in his former partner Tunisha Sharma's death. Sharma's mother informed the police that their relationship lasted three months and accused him of cheating on her daughter and forcing her to wear a hijab and convert to Islam. She also stated that the couple broke up 15 days before her suicide and that Khan was ignoring her. Khan said in his statement that he and Tunisha broke up because of their age gap and different religions. Her mother also said that Tunisha went into depression and took such an extreme step.
